Agreement to These Terms

These terms govern your use of kingsleyabebe.org. By using the site you accept them, along with the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What This Site Is

This is the personal website of Kingsley Abebe, an RF engineer. It describes field testing of wireless networks: drive, walk and stationary measurement, in-building and distributed antenna verification, competitive benchmarking, site and cluster acceptance, and the processing that turns the resulting logs into something a client can act on.

It also carries writing, a page of what I am reading and listening to, and a small number of free tools that run in your browser.

Everything here is for information. Descriptions of work, capability, scope and timelines are illustrative, not an offer, a quote, or a commitment. Reading this site does not create a client relationship, a contract, or any obligation on either of us. Actual work happens only under a separate written agreement that sets out its own scope, fees and terms.

I also build software, in my own time. Nothing on this site offers it as a service.

The Free Tools

The tools on this site are provided free and without warranty of any kind. Which ones are available changes from time to time.

• They run in your browser. Your files and figures are never uploaded. That is a design decision, not a promise about your own device, which remains your responsibility.

• Their output is a starting point. An ATS score is an estimate of how automated screeners may read a document, not a prediction of whether you will be hired. Calculated business metrics are arithmetic on the numbers you enter, not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Analysis of a spreadsheet is only as sound as the spreadsheet.

• Check anything that matters before you act on it, quote it, or send it to somebody who will make a decision with it.

• Saved work lives on your device. A draft kept in your browser is lost if you clear your browser data. Export anything you want to keep.

Not Professional Advice

Nothing on this site, including the writing and the tools, is engineering, legal, financial or career advice for your particular situation. Wireless network measurement in particular depends on equipment, conditions, configuration and market. General statements here cannot substitute for a scoped campaign against your own network.

Embedded and Linked Content

The media page embeds players from Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube, and shows cover images hosted by their publishers. That content belongs to those services and is delivered by them. I do not control it, it may change or disappear without notice, and their terms and privacy policies apply to it.

The site also links to other websites. I do not control them and I am not responsible for their content or their practices. Their terms apply once you leave.

Intellectual Property

Unless marked otherwise, everything on this site, meaning the text, the writing, the design, the code, the images and the marks, belongs to me or is used with permission. Album art, book covers and film posters belong to their respective owners and appear here as references.

You may read it, link to it, and quote short passages with attribution. You may not republish it wholesale, pass it off as your own, or use it to train a model without written permission.

Anything you produce with the tools is yours. I claim nothing over your resume, your data, or your numbers.

Acceptable Use

Use the site normally. Do not attempt to break into it, disrupt it, scrape it at volume, probe it for weaknesses without permission, or use the contact form to send unlawful, abusive or automated messages.

If you find a genuine security flaw, tell me before you tell anyone else and I will thank you properly.

Availability

This is a personal site run by one person. It may be unavailable, changed, or taken down at any time and without notice. No uptime is promised.

Disclaimer

The site and the tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from your use of this site or the tools, including lost profits, lost data, or decisions made on the basis of anything generated here.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top shows when they last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stands.
